I’m a writer/director focused on high-concept comedy and development-driven storytelling. I recently wrote and directed an independent feature film, taking the project from script through production and release.My work is grounded in strong premises, sharp joke writing, and clear story thinking. I’m interested in projects that benefit from thoughtful development early on, whether that’s originating new material or helping shape existing work.
We're So Dead is set during a Christmas Eve shift at a restaurant. It is a feature-length horror-comedy that uses workplace humor and mounting tension to explore power, burnout, and survival inside a familiar service-industry environment. The film was written for a niche audience, grounding its story in the rhythms, language, and pressures of restaurant life while remaining accessible to a broader comedy and genre audience.Written and directed by Ken MacLaughlin, the film was independently produced, completed, and released.
